Kansas City area Prominent 600 Bed Regional Referral Hospital. We are presently seeking a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Infectious Disease. As Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, you will report to the Director of Pharmacy and Clinical Pharmacy Manager.

The Clinical Pharmacy Infectious Diseases Specialist assumes responsibility for the medication management of patients receiving antimicrobial agents. The Clinical Infectious Diseases Pharmacist assumes compliance with best practices and use of cost effective therapies, including the antimicrobial stewardship program. The Clinical Infectious Diseases Pharmacist becomes involved integrally in the education of pharmacy residents, medical residents, and medical students.

Responsibilities

· Didactic and experiential education, post-graduate education

· Provide care in an active clinical practice and stewardship program at the practice site

· Collaborative clinical research or other scholarly activity

· Service to the department, college and community

Requirements: Successful candidates must possess the Doctor of Pharmacy degree and have completed PGY2 Infectious Diseases residency and/or fellowship training or possess equivalent experience. Candidates must be eligible for licensure in the State of Kansas.

Preferred qualifications: Board certification or experience in infectious diseases clinical pharmacy and antimicrobial stewardship is desirable.
