Clinical Pharmacist, Emergency Medicine – Evening Shift


East Coast progressive health system is looking for experienced health system pharmacists to work in their expanding Emergency Medicine Pharmacy program. Positions exist on both the evening shift (3:00pm to 11:00pm) and the night shift (7:00pm to 7:00am – 7on/7off). The Emergency Department pharmacists will devote a majority of their time to direct patient care – at least 60%. The remainder of your time will be dedicated to order verification, educational activities and administrative. Pharmacists will work with other healthcare providers to optimize medication regimens using evidence-based medicine and standards of care, including participation in emergency response (including but not limited to Codes Blue, Stroke, ROSC, Sepsis and trauma). Pharmacists will also provide services that maximize the hospital’s ability to meet national benchmarks (CMS quality indicators, etc). Other responsibilities include providing educational inservices, developing policies and/or processes to improve departmental operations and participation in at least one departmental or hospital committee. Pharmacists will also serve as a primary preceptor for pharmacy students and residents. Other requirements include: BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.


Qualified candidates will have a Pharm.D. or B.S. in Pharmacy and at least one year of experience working in an Emergency Department. The ideal candidate will have residency training and/or Board Certification.
