Clinical Pharmacist, Oncology:
Our client health system located in New England with close proximity to Boston and Providence, Rhode Island is looking for a seasoned Clinical Oncology Pharmacy Specialist to serve both inpatient and ambulatory care centers. In this role, you will be responsible for the coordination of and/or collaboration on oncology pharmacy clinical programs including but not limited to ambulatory care medication therapy management, pharmacotherapeutics, formulary management, specialty pharmacy services, residency and student preceptorship, and academic lectures. In collaboration with multidisciplinary care givers throughout our hospital inpatient oncology units and ambulatory oncology centers, activities include monitor, assess, recommend changes to and optimize medication use; assist in teaching and monitoring of patients enrolled in our specialty pharmacy monitoring program, participate in the development of therapeutic drug policy and implement corrective strategies necessary to contain drug costs; monitor pharmacy clinical services through continuous quality improvement activities; and participate in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, therapy plans, and budgets.
The ideal candidate will have oncology residency training and/or previous hospital or outpatient infusion clinic experience. Strong clinical pharmacy experience preferred. Willingness to seek board certification in oncology preferred.
