DIRECTOR OF PHARMACY:

Community Hospital located approximately 45 minutes southwest of Philadelphia. The facility offers inpatient and outpatient services, including 24-hour emergency care, diagnostic care, orthopedics, and surgical services. With more than 75 medical staff members, this Hospital is accredited by The Joint Commission and has been recognized for its quality outcomes and clinical expertise across services lines.

Director of Pharmacy: Responsible for the planning, organization and direction of the operations of the department through appropriate utilization of resources and delegation of responsibilities to achieve high quality standard of care in pharmacy services. Plans the course of the department to achieve budgetary and regulatory compliance while insuring continuous quality of services provided. Positions the department to achieve best practice in clinical services and medication management systems while insuring continuous quality of services provided. Responsible for the physical pharmacy plant, all pharmacy related automation, and controlled substance compliance. Promotes the education and development of the pharmacy staff regarding pharmacy operational and clinical pharmacy activities. Responsible for the planning, organization and direction of clinical practices through appropriate utilization of resources and delegation of responsibilities to achieve high quality standard of care in pharmacy services. Responsible for monitoring to promote quality improvement activities.

The ideal candidate will have a Pharm.D. along with 4 to 5 years work experience in a progressive professional career in which administrative competence has been demonstrated.
