LifeBridge Health is a regional health care organization based in northwest Baltimore and its surrounding counties. LifeBridge Health consists of Sinai Hospital of Baltimore, Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, LifeBridge Health & Fitness, hundreds of primary care and specialty physicians throughout the region, and many affiliated health-related partners.

As one of the largest, most comprehensive and most highly respected providers of health-related services to the people of the northwest Baltimore region, LifeBridge Health advocates preventive services, wellness and fitness services, and programs to educate and support the communities it serves.

Northwest Hospital, located in Randallstown, serves the health care needs of the northwest Baltimore metro area, including Baltimore County, western Baltimore City, and Carroll and Howard counties. It was established in 1962 as Liberty Court Rehabilitation Center, and in 1963 became Baltimore County General Hospital. In June of 1993, it changed its name to Northwest Hospital.

The Role: Director of Pharmacy


Reporting directly to the System Director of Pharmacy for LifeBridge Health, the Director of Pharmacy at Northwest shall provide oversight, direction, strategic planning and coordination for the operational, clinical, financial and related services provided by the LifeBridge Northwest Hospital. The Director of Pharmacy will be positioned to collaborate with the other directors in the system to ensure the best decisions in policies, procedures, and systems that support safe, effective and efficient medication use. This will include leadership in the design, operation and improvement of the organization’s medication use process. Services shall comply with the policies and procedures established by the LifeBridge Health System, federal, state and local laws governing the practice of pharmacy, and the standards and requirements established by the regulatory agencies (e.g. TJC, Medicare, State Board of Pharmacy, etc) supervising the provision of health care.

The Inpatient Pharmacy operation includes a total of 30 FTEs.  The pharmacy maintains many strong clinical service lines and operates 24/7. There are numerous clinical pharmacists decentralized in the various patient care areas working in consultation with the medical staff, physician residents, and other clinicians. The clinical programs are well developed, valued, and a key part of the patient care process.


Qualifications for the Ideal Candidate


Education, Licensure and Certification


  • Graduation from an accredited school of pharmacy with a Pharmacy degree; Bachelor of Science, Doctor of Pharmacy/Pharm D.
  • Master’s in Health Care, Business Administration or related field would be strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of 340b Drug Pricing Program would be strongly preferred.

• Licensed or eligible for licensure as a registered pharmacist by the State of Maryland Board of Pharmacy.
