We have been retained by The University of Virginia (UVA) located in Charlottesville, Virginia to manage their search for their next Administrative Pharmacy Leader.

The Role – Administrator for Pharmacy Services:
The Administrator for Pharmacy Services has total responsibility for all Pharmacy services throughout the UVA Health System including all hospital and ambulatory complexes. Complete Pharmacy program with comprehensive clinical pharmacy services, growing Residency program and almost 350 FTE’s with an annual expense budget approaching $230M. He/She provides objectives, sets long term goals, organizes, supervises, and evaluates pharmacy procedures; all activities are carried out in coordination with the overall organizations objectives; assures the monitoring and evaluation, with medical staff input, of quality and appropriateness of patient services provided by the pharmacy department. In addition to the responsibilities mentioned, they have the leadership responsibilities for the establishment of and implementation of process improvement, staff development, and obtaining the vision of the combination of Pharmacy Services provided by UVA Health Pharmacies.
